Dr Shradha Billawa is a Counselling Psychologist, who has had the privilege of supporting adolescents and adults in the UK.
Dr Shradha believes it is important for individuals to be able to access support with whom they feel respected, comfortable and safe in the presence of. Throughout your time together, she aims to offer a collaborative, safe, empathic and non-judgemental space for you to express yourself freely, and share your story. Dr. Shradha believes it is important to spend time on building a therapeutic relationship, before exploring what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to gain from this space. Moving through therapy at a pace that works for you, she will also support you to explore your current experiences, early experiences, relationships and the impact of social contexts on your wellbeing. She is also particularly interested in your strengths and how you cope. Her main hopes are to support you to build a meaningful life which aligns with your needs, values and hopes.
As a British, Hindu, South Asian woman, Dr. Shradha has lived experience of navigating the intricacies of holding multiple identities, and expectations. This experience has led her to practice in ways which are responsive and respectful towards people’s multiple identities and various needs.
